The bookstore was out of the first book in Patricia Briggs' series, but I did buy a copy of the first in Carrie Vaughn's "Kitty" series (and I picked up the second yesterday :D ) I also picked up my copy of <i>Delicious</i> from the lovely, talented, and gracious Ms. Sherry Thomas in Texas. I enjoyed both books immensely, though I didn't do as much reading as I thought I would because I spent a lot of time looking at the scenery. The series starts with Brigg's novella "Alpha and Omega" which can be found in the anthology On the Prowl, and continues in Cry Wolf, which will come out at the end of the month. There are two more books to come after that. In a whole other category of paranormals, I also love Shana Abe's drakon series. The Smoke Thief, The Dream Thief and Queen of Dragons.
